We provide evidence-based mental health care tailored to your individual needs — right here in Uganda.
We deliver treatment for acute symptoms of mental illnesses that can't be managed at home. This approach helps to relieve family members in times of crises and allows for decisions to be made on the next treatment steps.
We provide evidence-based interventions for short-time and allow clients to recoup before discharge. These interventions are provided over hours during the day to allow for stabilization and monitoring of clients in a supportive environment.
Continuous assessment of symptoms is a cost-effective means of delivering interventions to clients while allowing them to recoup as they continue to work, study and lead productive lives within the community.
During the course of our treatment, we use standardized instruments to assess clients, arrive at a final diagnosis, chart treatment progress and monitor outcomes/response to interventions. Psychometric tests are used by the psychiatrists and psychologists in their routine practice.
Our families play an important role in mental wellbeing and as such are part of therapy.
A comprehensive evidence-based early intervention for persons with substance use problems. The intervention includes assessment using standardized scales, counselling and Laboratory tests. We provide detoxification services for those in need over a 5-7-day period and then referral them to long-stay facilities.
Lab tests are important in assessing the health and condition of body organs (liver and kidney) that break down (metabolize) prescribed medications. We can monitor medication levels and identify the presence of toxins and substances.
We are aware that comprehensive mental health care also involves designing age-appropriate exercise regimens, diet and managing weight changes that may result from medication side effects.
We provide reports in response to requests by clients or organizations.
